2026 Landscape Australia Awards

Two gardens, very different in scale, connected by the same idea: that landscape should feel intrinsic to the home rather than added to it. We’re very pleased to share that Bronte Sandstone and Bondi Semi have both been shortlisted in the 2026 Landscape Australia Awards, in the Large Residential and Small Residential categories respectively. At Bronte, we worked with the weight and history of the site. Existing sandstone, recycled brick and the retained orange tree became the foundation for a garden that feels grounded and established. Layered planting softens the architecture and brings movement, shade and seasonal change throughout.At Bondi Semi, the challenge was one of compression. The rear garden is small, but its role within the home is significant. We used planting to create depth and softness from the living spaces, extending the experience of the interior beyond the building footprint.While different in scale, materiality and character, both projects reflect the way we approach residential landscape at EBLA: responding closely to site, retaining what has value, and using planting to shape how a place is experienced over time.We’re proud to see both projects recognised by Landscape Australia this year.

BRONTE SANDSTONE
Recycled brick steps sit within loose planting of Carpobrotus glaucescens and Anigozanthos, bringing texture, colour and a sense of ease to the garden.

From the kitchen, the garden becomes the outlook. Layered planting drawing the landscape into the interior and extending the sense of space beyond the home.
