Evan entered the field of landscape architecture in 2006, building on earlier studies in industrial design that sparked his interest in materiality and the way people engage with their surroundings. This foundation continues to inform a practice grounded in clarity, observation and a deep connection to nature. His early experience spanned both design and on-site implementation. This gave him a practical understanding of how landscapes are made and how they endure. Across private gardens, multi residential projects and the public realm, Evan brings a thoughtful and nature led approach. He is drawn equally to process and outcome, recognising that landscapes evolve alongside the people who inhabit them. For him, design is an ongoing conversation between place, ecology and daily life. Evan has collaborated with developers, architects and government agencies on projects for Stockland, Frasers Property, National Parks and Wildlife and the Department of Planning and Environment. These experiences have strengthened his understanding of how landscapes function at different scales and how they can support communities in meaningful ways. His work is guided by humility and clarity. He values the natural systems already at play and believes well considered landscapes can quietly improve how we live.
